Our ECCO Supply™ division is a full-service wholesale distributor of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplies and equipment. With sales branches located in centers throughout Western and Central Canada, we are expanding our team with individuals eager improve customer experience and drive significant market growth.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Inside Sales Representative is the main point of verbal and written contact in the team, following established procedures to provide sales support or refer calls to appropriate staff. This role is focused on providing relevant and up to date sales information, product information, special pricing/quotations, promotions, or services.

  • Answer multiple phone lines and emails professionally, courteously, and as efficiently and promptly as possible
  • Educate customers on features and benefits of products in order to improve related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with quotes and pricing when needed
  • Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, upselling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales data base with pricing and specifications
  • Customer liaison regarding general inquiries, customer complaints, etc. to ensure follow up is carried through to customer satisfaction
  • Perform data entry and follows-up on orders in progress to ensure shipping dates are met; as well as contact customers when back orders are available
  • Communicate regularly with other necessary ECCO departments to ensure a high order fill rate by maintaining efficient stock levels
  • Provide support and assistance to Inside Sales Manager, Territory Managers and Regional Director of Sales; as well as forward sales lead to Territory Managers for follow-up
  • Diffuse customer conflicts through excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings as needed

 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Previous working experience in an Inside Sales or Customer Service-oriented role is required
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words-per-minute (W.P.M.) is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, with the ability to multi-task data-entry and order processing efficiently
  • Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues
