The Calgary location is looking for a strategic and knowledgeable individual to oversee daily inventory operations at the distribution center, ensuring smooth functioning by verifying inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and promoting efficient movement of goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties:
- Maintain accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels, regularly reviewing database, reconciling discrepancies, and updating with new stock
- Communicate with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of goods by regularly checking shipment status and resolving any issues
- Track and manage incoming and outgoing shipments through close collaboration with the distribution team to ensure their proper receipt, processing, and tracking
- Maintain clean, organized warehouse by regularly organizing, ensuring proper storage and accessibility, and keeping it in good condition
- Collaborate with distribution team for efficient operations by identifying and resolving issues and implementing best practices for inventory management
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize losses and ensure accuracy by regularly reviewing, identifying areas for improvement, and making recommendations for changes
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies by regularly reviewing records, analyzing data, and providing insights into the inventory state
- Communicate with Distribution Manager on inventory/supply chain issues, propose solutions and implement changes as necessary
- Participate in yearly inventory count
- Other duties as deemed necessary by management

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- Experience in Inventory, Distribution or Operational procedures
- Familiarity with Supply Chain processes (e.g. inventory management systems and processes)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical ability and with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items
