Plant Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Position Summary

The Plant Manager provides leadership for the day-to-day operations of our production facility. This critical role is responsible to establish a strategy that both develops an engaged, flexible, high-performance team and ensures cost effective operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Duties:

  • Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Manufacturing
  • Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions, by setting a good example, and by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work

Plant Management:

  • Build strong and productive relationships with front line associates, fellow managers, supervisors, and team leaders; work with them to plan and deliver a structured approach for improving employee engagement, communication, and training
  • Provide expert leadership to all production departments by coaching managers and supervisors on how to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy
  • Mentor and develop the leadership capabilities of staff
  • Develop strategies to ensure that the Dallas manufacturing facility meets the company’s growth requirements
  • Set production levels in accordance with projections and ensuring that these levels are monitored and achieved
  • Develop and control the Dallas manufacturing budget by monitoring actual performance against performance goals to ensure progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.
  • Drive process improvements that optimize productivity and efficiency in the areas of production techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on‐time delivery, safety, employee relations, and plant performance measures
  • Develop methods and systems for establishing, monitoring and communicating lead measures, KPIs, and current status
  • Regularly confer with leadership team to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions
  • Provide input on strategic business development and key corporate planning issues that relate and impact the operations of the company
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience in a progressive management role, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing or related industry
  • Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent analytical ability and with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in delivering year to year financial results
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Commitment to employee training and development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
  • Strong commitment to Continuous Improvement
