ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team in Langley. The Plant Manager leads the daily operations of our production facility, playing a crucial role in developing a strategy that fosters an engaged, adaptable, and high-performing team while ensuring cost-effective operations.

DUTIES:

•  Build strong and productive relationships with labor union representatives, fellow managers, supervisors, and team leaders; work with them to plan and deliver a structured approach for improving employee engagement, communication, and training
• Provide expert leadership to all production departments by coaching managers and supervisors on how to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy
• Mentor and develop the leadership capabilities of staff
• Develop strategies to ensure that the Calgary manufacturing facility meets the company’s growth requirements
• Set production levels in accordance with projections and ensuring that these levels are monitored and achieved

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related discipline
• 10+ years’ experience in a progressive management role, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing or related industry
• Experience within a unionized environment is preferable
• Strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent analytical ability and with high attention to detail
